C. Bruguier, Cenclrier 14 a Geneve , circa 1840. Very fine 18K gold and enamel, singing bird box, retailed by William Boore, 64 Strand, London, in original red Morocco fitted box.
C. Two part with lobed corners, entirely engraved with floral and foliage decoration in a geometrical pattern, the cover with black champleve enamelled decoration. I-Iinged back compartment for the key. Lid of the bird enamelled with a Swiss lakeside landscape, the Mont Blanc on the background. Pierced and engraved gold grid. Multicoloured feathered bird with moving body, wings, tail, opening beak and turning head. M. Brass plate, fusee with chain, stacked cams, fly regulator and rectangular bellow. Signature scratched on the movement. Dim. 31 x 59 x 100 mm.
