Jules Ji.irgensen, Copenhagen No. 13690, Swiss, made for New York, circa 1875. Very impressive and fine 18K gold hunting cased, keyless minute-repeating, moon phase astronomical watch with perpetual calendar and chronograph.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets" by Jacques Huguenin, No 1204, engine-turned. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for clays of the week, months of the leap year cycle, the dates and seconds with inner moon-phase aperture (hairlines on subsidiary dials). Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 20"', nickel plated, 37 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with visible work and push piece in the band. Special hand-setting by the folding bow, patented by Jules J urgensen, 15 January, 1867. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition, accompanied with by a photocopy of the original workshop index card. Diam. 60 mm.
