Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 33, Cockspur Street, London, Swiss, No. 22747, made for the English Market, circa 1890. Fine and unusual 18K gold hunting cased, keyless watch with split second's chronograph and 30-minute instantaneous recorder.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine " , polished. 1-tinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with eccentric small Roman hour and minute chapter ring, symmetrical minute register, split second's chronograph ring on border of the bezel (slightly restored). M. 18"', hosted and gilt, three-quarter plate, 23 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Split second chronograph with push-pieces in the band. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 51 mm.
