C. Five body, massive, "bassine", by Alfred Strain (Master Mark), cover and back engraved with foliage and floral decoration. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with foliage decoration. D. 41l1ine enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "fleurs-de-lys " hands. M. 16 '" , frosted and gilt, threequarter plate, 15 jewels in screwed settings, English pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with diamond end-stone, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
