Folin L'Aine a Paris, circa 1800. Very fine gilt bronze and enamel eight day going, hour and half hour striking skeleton clock.

C. Rectangular white marble base on four gilt bronze feet, the front face with a gilt bronze "bas relief' of playing Cupids. Four rectangular columns applied with enamel plaques with paillone urns of flowers on a blue ground, supporting a semi-circular arched frame applied with a blue enamel panel decorated with vine branches. Signature cartouche flanked by two gilt bronze Cupids playing trump, supporting the movement, gilt bronze eagle at the top, flanked with garlands of flowers. D. White enamel chapter with Breguet numerals inner calendar ring and blue external ring, the decoration matching that of the arch. Gilt brass pierced hands. M. Brass circular with going barrels both for the going and the striking train, anchor escapement, "sunburst" pendulum, silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on a cartouche below the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 46 x 27 x 14 cm.
