Glaesner a Lions (Lyon), circa 1785. "Les Sciences, les Arts et l 'Astronomie" Rare and very attractive ormolu eight day going, hour and half hour striking clock.

C. Rectangular base on four turned feet and with pearled and interlaced decoration. Surmounted by a globe and flanked by branches of laurel and mistletoe, the movement is supported by a small square fluted column, the various instruments of arts and sciences, lying at the base. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gilt brass Louis XV hands. M. Brass circular full plate with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. In very good condition. Signed on the dial. Dim. 32 x 18 x 10 cm.
