Raymond Fernbach (Vienna), late 19th century. Very fine and unusual, eight day going, double face, skeleton oscillating regulator with dead centre seconds.
C. Designed as a pendulum, the movement inset within the bronze bob, the bezels engine-turned in a palm-leaf pattern. D. White enamel Roman chapter ring on the front face, the skeletonised movement visible at the centre. Similar chapter ring on the rear face but without the centre seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Fully skeletonised with going barrel, pin-wheel escapement. Brass with concentric steel compensation rod with sliding weight and spring suspension. Signed on the dial. In very good condition.
