Unsigned, French, circa 1840. Fine gilt bronze, hour and half-hour striking, eight day going, early carriage clock with alarm.

C. Gilt bronze one piece case, glazed three faces and top, the gilt bras back with winding hole shutters. D. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals and subsidiary sunk alarm setting dial. Gilt brass "spade" hands. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, early type skeletonised platform with lateral lever escapement with gold pointed tooth escape wheel, plain gold three-arm balance, balance, blued-steel flat balance spring with regulator. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. hi very good condition. Dim. 14 x 10 x 7,5 cm., excluding the handle.
