Unsigned, Swiss, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1890. Very fine and unusual gilt bronze and cloisonne enamel, hour and half hour striking and repeating eight day going carriage clock with centre seconds and alarm.

C. Gilt bronze, fancy "Gorge", glazed top and back door, fully decorated with cloisonne flowers and birds over a Royal blue ground. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer seconds and minute ring, small subsidiary Arabic alarm setting dial. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Silvered brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. Striking and repeating and alarm on a bell with button on the top, the repeating work visible on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 15 x 10 x 9 cm., excluding the handle.
