Unsigned, France, circa 1890. Very fine and rare gilt bronze, hour and half hour striking and repeating carriage clock.

C. Gilt bronze, "gorge", glazed on the back, top and side panels, fully engraved and partly gilt with flowers over a silver ground. D. Decorated en suite with Roman numerals on a gilt chapter ring. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. Striking and repeating on a gong with button on the top. In very good condition. Dim. 14 x 9 x 8 cm., excluding the handle.
