Malignon a Geneve, No. 2825, circa 1840. Fine 18K gold and enamel hunting cased pearl-set fob watch.

Five body, the enamelled cover paintecl with the winged head of an angel, outer split pearl inlaid engraved foliage decoration over an azure ground, the back champleve decoration matching that of the cover and painted in a split-pearl inlaid frame, with a very fine composition of Summer flowers over a pink opalescent ground. Hinged gold bezel and cuvette engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer floral decoration and Cupids painted over a light blue ground. Blued steel hands. M. 13"', gilt brass, bar calibre with going barrel, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and regulator. Signed on the cuvette and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 36 mm.
