Meyer a Paris, No. 1012, circa 1780. Fine small 18K gold and enamel, dumb quarter repeating watch.

C. Double body Louis XVI, the bezels chased with a floral decoration, the back panel on blue enamel with star and floral paillonne decoration (slightly restored), centred with a branch of roses. D. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals. Gold pierced fleurs-de-lys hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, plain brass three arm balance with flat spring and regulator. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 33 mm.

The case, the dial and the hands of this watch are very similar to that used by jean Antoine Lepine as early as 1770.
