C. Four body, massive, "bassine", polished, by Edgar Wilkins (Master Mark), the cover with black champleve enamelled Roman numerals on the border of the dial aperture. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade " hands. M. 17"', frosted and gilt, threequarter plate with the going barrel passing through the back plate, English lateral lever escapement with pointed tooth escape wheel, cut bimetallic balance with diamond end-stone, free sprung blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. Minute repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
