Unsigned, English, circa 1650. Very fine gilt brass watch case with a later movement.
C. Double body, bassine with split bezel and later loose-ring pendant, fully engraved with Summer flowers. D. Silver with Roman numerals and half-hour divisions, the centre engraved with a Summer flower decoration matching that of the case. Blued steel turned baluster single hand. M. Later hinged gilt brass Cull plate by Francis Perigal, Royal Exchange, London, No. 22100, with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain and maintaining power, cylinder escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring, English gilt brass cock with ruby end-stone. Gilt brass dust cap. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
