G. Gamot a Paris, circa 1660. Very fine and small silver pair cased pre-balance spring watch.

C. Outer silver frame entirely covered in dark leather with elaborate graduated pin work floral motifs. Plain silver polished inner with winding shutter, split bezel and loose ring pendant. D. Hinged gilt dial plate located by four lugs, the engraved border and applied plain silver dial with Roman hour numerals and halfhour marks. Single pierced and engraved double ended gilt hand. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with turned vase pillars, fusee with gut line , three wheel train with verge escapement, plain steel two-arm balance without spring, oval pattern pierced and florally engraved balance cock secured by a screw with matching ratchet wheel set-up cock, blued steel wheel and click spring. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Dian'. 41 mm.
