Notes

It is interesting to note that often, watches produced in Switzerland for the South American Market, were very similar to those made for the Indian or the Chinese markets. For instance, the present watch, in its shape and decoration, is an almost perfect rcedition of a very fine musical watch, made by Piguet & Meylan, circa 1820, for the Chinese market, sold by Antiquorum in Honk Kong on 28 May 1984.
