J.E Caldwell & Co, French, made for the American Market, circa 1890. "L'Amour parcourt le Monde" Fine gilt bronze, eight day going hour and half hour striking, hour repeating carriage clock with alarm and Limoge type enamelled panels.
C. Gilt bronze, glazed, "Anglaise Riche" with fluted Corinthian columns, glazed top and back, enamel lateral panels in a Limoge pattern, the Muse of music on the left and the Muse of painting on the right. D. Matt gilt brass with Arabic numerals and outer minute ring. Blued-steel fancy hands. Enamel dial plate decorated with Cupid on his chariot, drawn by two cloves and flanked by branches of foliage. M. Gilt brass rectangular with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, silvered platform with lateral lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring. Striking and repeating on a gong with button at the top. Alarm on gong with small white enamel alarm setting dial on the back plate. Signed on the dial. Dim. 14 x 10 x 9 cm., excluding the handle.
