Double body Directoire with split-pearl set bezels, pendant with champlene enamelled decoration, the back enamel panel with border decorated en suite, and painted with a scene featuring a messenger bringing a letter of love to Moulin's Maria, after an episode of Sentimental journey through France and Italy extract from The Seasons by James Thomson. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals and outer minute ring. Gold hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Diam. 52 mm.
