Unsigned, French , circa 1890. "Chanson d'Amour" Fine gilt bronze eight day going, hour and half hour striking, hour repeating carriage clock with porcelain panels.
C. Gilt bronze, "cannelee", with four porcelain panels painted with Romantic scenes, over a turquoise ground: a maiden on the right side, her lover on the left, trophies on the top and back door, all within gilt frames with white dot decoration enamelled en pate. D. Porcelain, decorated en suite, with Roman numerals, inner painted Cupid, flying in clouds, a young lord, below the dial plays the mandolin for a seating maiden. Blued steel "pear" hands. M. Gilt brass rectangular with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, silvered platform with straight line lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring. Striking, repeating and alarm on a gong with button at the top. Dim. 13 x 9 x 7,5 cm., excluding the handle.
