Notes

Hector and Andromache Hector, son of Priam, king of Troy, was married to Andromache, daughter of the Icing of Thebes. They very much loved each other and from their union was born a son, Astyanax. Hector, a loving father and husband, had to leave Troy to go to battle and, with his helmet in hand, he made his farewells to his wife and son at the gates of Troy. Andromache, distressed at his departure, begged him to renounce the illusionary glory of war and to stay home.
