Priest's Chalice, circa 1931.
Heavy 18K yellow gold chalice having an ivory decorated stern and a hexagonal-shaped base bordered with channel-set rubies, the apexes decorated with a flower head centrally set with a cabochon ruby; the front of the base is adorned with a cross centering an old European-cut diamond flanked on all sides by round diamonds alternating with baguette-cut diamonds, the borders set with square-cut rubies. Accompanied by an 18K yellow gold cover tray and stirrer, and original fitted leather box. Bottom engraved with: En temoignage de participation a l'oblation de notre fits, Paul, Monsieur et Madame Lints Momrnaerts 24 Mai, 1931 (In testimony of the participation of the Consecration of our son, Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Lints Mommaets, 24 May, 1931) and with the latin inscription Crucem ex annulo hranciscae Nerincx in memoriam parentes DD (The cruxifix was made with the Francesca Nerincx's ring and supplied by her parents in memoriam).
