Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1850. "La bergere apprivoisee" Fine and unusual compressed horn musical box with erotic automaton scene.

C. Double body rectangular, the lid decorated with a mansion on a river side and further decoration in an engine-turned pattern, glazed base with gilt brass bezel, a heart applied at each corner. Disclosed by the lid and driven by the musical train, repousse silver automaton scene of coitus pastorales within a gilt brass frame with a small heart applied at each corner. M. Inverted with fly regulator, a 65 mm. pin cylinder and a comb of 13 groups of 5 teeth, driving the automaton movements by means of cams and levers. Dim. 95 x 60 x 30 mm.
