C. Five body, massive, "pommes et filets carrure ronde", polished. Hinged gold cuvette with a concealed enamelled automaton scene in an engraved bedroom, depicting a soldier paying tribute to the wife of his captain. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18 "' , nickel plated threequarter plate, "a vagues " decoration, 18 jewels on the going train, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Diam. 52 mm.
