LOUIS AUDEMARS CARILLON MINUTE-REPEATER ? ARMS OF PRINCE ORLOV Louis Audemars, Brassus-Genève, No. 12658, the movement by Louis Brandt Frères. Made for Prince Orlov, circa 1885. Very fine and very rare, large, 14K pink gold, hunting-cased, keyless, carillon minute-repeating with three hammers on three gongs, pocket watch.

C. Four-body, ?bassine?, engine-turned and polished, the front cover engraved with the coat of arms of Prince Orlov, the back cover engraved with foliate monogram ?AO? beneath a crown. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with outermost Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. M. 46 mm (21???), rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 33 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating with three hammers on three gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed Louis Audemars, movement marked: ?7832?, this patent was granted to Louis Brandt Frères on December 30th, 1883. DIAM. 54 mm.
