LOUIS AUDEMARS 1ST QUALITY PRECISION WATCH ORIGINAL BOX & PAPERS PINK GOLD Louis Audemars, Brassus & Geneva, No. 16680, cased by J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia. Made circa 1880. Extremely fine and very rare, highly precise, hunting cased, 18K pink gold, keyless pocket lever Chronometer with helical balance spring. Accompanied by the original Louis Audemars fitted rosewood box, original certificate and Certificate of Regulation dated 25th March, 1880 and signed by Louis Audemars.

Four-body, forme collier, polished, flat covers with reeded edges, polished band. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 18''', nickel plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, the upper jewels in screwed gold chatons, straight line lever escapement with bishop's crook counterpoise, large bimetallic compensation balance with gold meantime and temperature adjustment screws, blued steel helical balance spring with inner and outer terminal curves, index regulator.
