LOWENTHAL, SINGLE BUTTON OVERSIZE CHRONOGRAPH, STEEL Lowenthal (Bovet Freres), Swiss, chronograph, 4T. Produced in the 1940s. Very fine and unusual, large, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with single button chronograph, register and tachometer.
Three-body, polished and brushed, flat bezel, concave lugs. Silver with painted Arabic numerals and bâton indexes, subsidiary sunk seconds and 45-minute register dials, outer minute track, at the center, spiral tachometric scale in blue Arabic numerals. Blued steel hands. Cal. 133, rhodium plated, "fausses-cotes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring.
