Notes

The carriage of this watch is typical of the first type made by Auguste Grether which is fitted to several Girard Perregaux pocket chronometers with tourbillon regulator. Auguste Grether (1817-1879) was born in Ponts-de-Martel, where he began his career; he worked later in Le Lock for the best manufactures from LeLocle and La Chaux-de-Fonds.
