Notes

The Maîtres Du Temps Chapter 3 Reveal in 18K pink gold represents an extraordinary collaboration between two of the world’s most celebrated independent watchmakers: Kari Voutilainen and Andreas Strehler. Created as a piece unique, this 42mm timepiece exemplifies the pinnacle of haute horlogerie craftsmanship. At first glance, the watch displays hours, minutes, small seconds at 8 o’clock, date at 2 o’clock, and a moonphase at 4 o’clock. However, its true ingenuity is revealed when the crown pusher is activated, opening two panels to display a day/ night indicator at 12 o’clock and a second time zone at 6 o’clock on beautifully engraved and hand-painted rollers. The hand-wound SHC03 caliber features Voutilainen’s signature finishing techniques and a Straumann balance spring with Breguet overcoil, while Strehler’s mechanical genius is evident in the innovative roller system. The sapphire caseback bears both watchmakers’ signatures, offering a view of the meticulously finished movement. Andreas Strehler, is a renowned independent watchmaker who established his own workshop in 1995. By 2000, he became the youngest member of the prestigious AHCI. Strehler is celebrated for his mechanical innovations, most notably creating the world’s most precise moon phase indication that would need adjustment only after 2.045 million years, earning him a Guinness World Record. Kari Voutilainen is one of the world’s most celebrated independent watchmakers. After discovering his passion during a watch repair internship, he studied in Finland before moving to Switzerland in 1989. Following nine years at Parmigiani and teaching at WOSTEP, he established his independent atelier in 2002. His exceptional craftsmanship has earned him ten Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève awards, cementing his status as one of the most decorated watchmakers in the industry.
