An extremely fine and rare 18k gold and enamel snuff-box, manual wind with automaton scene. The top cover opening to reveal an elaborate chased vari-color gold with and enamel automaton with eleven motions , in the center on a path come successively a goat, a companion with a bag on his back making his tour of France, a rider going at full speed and a cart dragged by a horse climbed on his cart, a farmer repairs the fittings with a hammer , on the right a squatting beggar eats his soup from a bowl while at the in on the left the hostess rings the bell calling her customers for a more succulent meal whose dishes are brought by two lackeys into the room that we sees the opposite side.
