WM. METFORD/ LECOULTRE, MINUTE REPEATER & PERPETUAL CALENDAR PINK GOLD Wm. Metford, movement by LeCoultre, Geneve, No. 3741. Made circa 1890. Very fine and extremely rare, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar and moon phases.

Four body massive "bassine et filets" polished, correctors in the band. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved presentation inscription. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the date, the months, day of the week, aperture for the moon phases combined with seconds. Blued steel pear hands. 43 mm. rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 31 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Blue steel Breguet balance-sping, index regulator.minute repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
