Notes

The trend for collectible dive watches has continued to show strength just like the rare and collectible Mido Powerwind. Launched around 1960 at the time were recreational diving became increasingly popular (other brands also launched their models like the Favre Leuba Bathy 50 or the Blancpain Aqualung or the Rolex Submariner), it has become sought-after mainly due to its unique colourful decompression tables, its case by Taubert and its pleasant 38 mm size. Existing in 3 different batches depending on its year, this example is an early mark II featuring the case and reference number on its back and has the rarer black color dial that has remained in excellent overall condition.

Provenance

Property of a Dutch gentleman
