MINERVA LARGE & EARLY SINGLE-BUTTON CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH SILVER Minerva, Swiss, movement No. 1313217. Made circa 1915. Fine, oversized and early, silver wristwatch with single-button chronograph and register.
Three-body, polished, curved bezel, coin-edge band, transparent snap-on back, hinged wire lugs, co-axial button in the crown at 12 for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph, "faux" crown at 6. White enamel with black Arabic numerals, outer minutes and fifths of a second divisions, outer red Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute registers. Blued steel spade hands. 18 ''', matte gilt, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
