MONTANDON ONE-MINUTE TOURBILLON - GOLD POCKET WATCH Charles Adolphe Montandon, Locle, No. 19455. Made circa 1870. Fine and rare, 18K gold hunting cased, keyless pocket watch with one-minute tourbillion regulator.
Four-body, bassine et filets, engine-turned with polished borders, reeded band, the interior of the front cover with engraved dedication. Glazed gold-rimmed cuvette to view the movement. Three-piece white enamel with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. 19''', nickel-plated, fausses cotes decoration, jeweled to the center, wolf's tooth winding, one-minute tourbillion with polished steel cage, lateral lever escapement,, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
