Montblanc, “Antoine de Saint-Exupéry”
Montblanc created this pen in 2017 in honour of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944), in a limited and numbered edition of 9 800 examples. The twenty-sixth of Montblanc’s “Writers Edition”.
The pen’s design evokes the life of the writer. The pen is crafted in precious midnight blue resin and engraved with details that reflect both his travels on his plane, the Caudron C.630 Simoun, and his great passion for aviation. The barrel and cap are engraved with the riveted plates of his aircraft, while the rings and tips are reminiscent of the cockpit of the plane.
The ball-point-pen was produced in a limited and numbered edition of … 000 examples.
The mechanical pencil was produced in a limited and numbered edition of … 000 examples.
A set of three writing instruments, comprising a fountain-pen, a ball-point-pen and a mechanical pencil, was produced in a limited and numbered edition of … 000 examples.

June 29, 1900 – July 31, 1944
French writer, poet, aristocrat, journalist and pioneering aviator. He became a laureate of several of France’s highest literary awards and also won the United States National Book Award. He is best remembered for his novella Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) and for his lyrical aviation writings, including Wind, Sand and Stars and Night Flight.
