Notes

Montblanc, “Louis XIV”
Montblanc created this pen in 1994 in honour of Louis XIV (1638-1715), King of France and Navarra (1643-1715), the longest reigning king in European history – the humanities benefited greatly under his reign by patronising Molière, Racine, La Fontaine and many others –, in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The third of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.
The vermeil (gilded silver) pen is engraved with patterns evoking the rooms of Versailles, the court of the Sun King.
