Montblanc, “Alexander the Great”
Montblanc created this pen in 1998 in honour of Alexander the Great (356 BC-323 BC), the philosopher-King of the classical Golden Age, who extended the Greek Empire toward Asia, in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The eighth of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.
The barrel is crafted of black marbled lacquer with golden veins, with 18K gold-plated end-piece and cap decorated in intricate black enamel inlay.

The purchase price payable by a buyer will be the sum of the final bid price plus the buyer’s premium, together with any applicable sales or compensating use tax. In addition to the hammer price, the buyer’s premium is payable as follows: 25% of the hammer price on each lot.
