Notes

Montblanc, “Karl Der Grosse – Hommage à Charlemagne”
Montblanc created this pen in 2000 in honour of Karl the Great (748-814), Frankish King – founder of the Carolingian Renaissance, which combined classical and Germanic culture –, in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The tenth of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.
The pen is crafted from faceted sterling silver with a spiral twist, decorated in gold-plated mountings reminiscent of the Carolingian style.
