Montblanc, “Marquise de Pompadour
Montblanc created this pen in 2001 in honour of the Marquise de Pompadour (1721-1764), mistress of Louis XV (1710-1774), King and France and Navarre (1715-1774), in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The eleventh of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.
The pen is crafted from vermeil (gilded sterling silver) with white enamel inlays, the cap is made from fine Meissen porcelain with an exquisitely hand-painted rose motif.

The purchase price payable by a buyer will be the sum of the final bid price plus the buyer’s premium, together with any applicable sales or compensating use tax. In addition to the hammer price, the buyer’s premium is payable as follows: 25% of the hammer price on each lot.
