Montblanc, “Alexander von Humboldt”
Montblanc created this pen in 2007 in honour of Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859), naturalist, explorer of Latin America, and patron of science, in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The seventeenth of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.
The pen (body and cap) is crafted from black grenadilla, inlaid with engraved sterling silver panels recalling the cultural treasures that Humboldt studied.

CONDITIONS AND INFORMATION FOR BUYERS

The purchase price payable by a buyer will be the sum of the final bid price plus the buyer’s premium, together with any applicable sales or compensating use tax. In addition to the hammer price, the buyer’s premium is payable as follows: 25% of the hammer price on each lot.
