Montblanc, “Max von Oppenheim”

Montblanc created this pen in 2009 in honour of Max von Oppenheim (1860-1946), German baron who funded archaeological excavations that unearthed vast treasures from ancient Halaf and Assyria, in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The nineteenth of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.

The pen (body and cap) is crafted from sterling silver with pale grey translucent lacquer inlays. Gold-plated rings on the cap and body are engraved with designs from Tel Halaf.
