Montblanc, “Max von Oppenheim”
Montblanc created this pen in 2009 in honour of Max von Oppenheim (1860-1946), German baron who funded archaeological excavations that unearthed vast treasures from ancient Halaf and Assyria, in a limited and numbered edition of 4 810 examples. The nineteenth of Montblanc’s “Patron of Art Edition”.
The pen (body and cap) is crafted from sterling silver with pale grey translucent lacquer inlays. Gold-plated rings on the cap and body are engraved with designs from Tel Halaf.

The purchase price payable by a buyer will be the sum of the final bid price plus
the buyer’s premium, together with any applicable sales or compensating use tax. In addition to the hammer price, the buyer’s premium is payable as follows:
25% of the hammer price on each lot.
