Montblanc, “Virginia Woolf”
Montblanc created this pen in 2006 in honour of Virginia Woolf (1882-1941), in a limited and numbered edition of 16 000 examples. The fifteenth of Montblanc’s “Writers Edition”.
The pen’s elegant design features guilloché (engine-turned) waves in black precious resin, an allusion to Woolf’s 1931 novel, The Waves. The clip is set with a cabochon ruby.
The ball-point-pen was produced in a limited and numbered edition of 18 000 examples.
The mechanical pencil was produced in a limited and numbered edition of … 000 examples.
A set of three writing instruments, comprising a fountain-pen, a ball-point-pen and a mechanical pencil, was produced in a limited and numbered edition of 4 000 examples.

English writer, considered one of the most important modernist 20th century authors and also a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device.
