Montblanc, “Carlo Collodi”
Montblanc created this pen in 2011 in honour of Carlo Collodi (1826-1890), in a limited and numbered edition of 12 000 examples. The twentieth of Montblanc’s “Writers Edition”.
The pen is crafted from precious dark brown resin. The champagne-coloured gold pen’s design evokes the magical imaginary world of Pinnochio. The cap is engraved with various motifs: the voracious whale, the faithful cricket, the shady fox, the cunning cat and the good fairy. The clip is set with a screw that symbolises the joints of the world’s most famous puppet, while the cone is reminiscent of Pinocchio’s legendary long nose.
The ball-point pen was produced in a limited and numbered edition of 14 600 examples.
The roller-ball pen was produced in a limited and numbered edition of 8 400 examples.
The mechanical pencil was produced in a limited and numbered edition of 3 000 examples.
A set of three writing instruments, comprising a fountain-pen, a ball-point pen, roller-ball and a mechanical pencil, was produced in a limited and numbered edition of 3 000 examples.
