Notes

In 2011, Montblanc launched a limited edition set in honour of Carlo Collodi (1826-1890), the pen name of Carlo Lorenzini, an Italian author renowned for his fairy tale novel, The Adventures of Pinocchio. This release marks the twentieth edition of Montblanc's “Writers Edition”, comprising a total of 2,100 pieces.

The pen is crafted from dark brown resin. The champagne-coloured gold pen’s design evokes the magical imaginary world of Pinocchio. The cap is engraved with various motifs: the voracious whale, the faithful cricket, the shady fox, the cunning cat and the good fairy. The clip is set with a screw that symbolises the joints of the world’s most famous puppet, while the cone is reminiscent of Pinocchio’s legendary long nose. The 18K champagne-gold nib showcases a fine engraving of a cricket, recalling the wise Jiminy Cricket.
