A fine and rare fountain pen Montblanc Writers Edition Oscar Wilde: Limited 20,000 pieces (1994). The barrel is made by unique, marbled green resin. The cap is adorned with a gold-plated clip shaped like an old fountain pen nib. The pen body made by pearl and black precious resin swirl together in a rich marbled pattern, enhanced by vermeil mountings, the vermeil clip and fittings with sterling silver plated with 23.5K gold.

Extravangance Redefined
Montblanc created this pen in 1994 in honour of Oscar Wilde (1854-1900), in a limited and numbered edition of 20,000 examples. The third of Montblanc’s “Writers Edition”.

(October 16, 1854 – November 30, 1900)
Irish poet and playwright. After writing in different forms throughout the 1880s, the early 1890s saw him become one of the most popular playwrights in London. He is best remembered for his epigrams and plays, his novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the circumstances of his criminal conviction for gross indecency for consensual homosexual acts, imprisonment, and early death from meningitis at age 46.
