MOVADO ERMETO TRIPLE CALENDAR MOON PHASES, RETAILED BY TIFFANY Movado, Swiss, Montre de Sac, No. 1246, Ref. 508. Made circa 1950. Fine and rare, steel & base metal leather covered Ermeto, patented extensible keyless purse and desk watch with triple date and phases of the moon.

Rectangular, steel and base metal, leather covered, folding strut on the back. Two tone silver with applied steel Arabic numerals and indexes, outer minute track, concentric date ring, apertures for the phase of the moon, the months and days of the week. Steel alpha hands. Cal. 9', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Patented Ermeto extensible winding device by sliding the case open and close.
