MOVADO "MAX BILL RAINBOW" STERLING SILVER LIMITED EDITION Movado, "Bill-Time", designed for Movado by Max Bill, No. HC 09/10, case No. 1919983, Ref. 90.D8.990. Made in an artist's limited edition of 99, created in 1993. Fine and unusual, large octagonal, artist's limited edition, sterling silver, center-seconds wristwatch with an integral sterling silver "rainbow" link bracelet. Accompanied by the original cylindrical Perspex display box, pouch and Certificate of Authenticity signed by Max Bill.

Two-body, octagonal, polished, rounded band, offset crown, transparent back with 8 screws, the crystal with rainbow edge, sapphire crystals. Rainbow, outer black baton indexes on a white reserve. Silver baton hands. Cal. 2801-2, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator.

MAX BILL [1908 - 1994] was a Swiss architect, artist, painter, typeface designer, he was commissioned to design this watch by Movado in 1992 and it was made in 1993 in a limited edition of 99 pieces.
