This watch is in new condition and is the pre-series of the new Italian Navy Panerai wristwatches.The first four watches were given to the following engineers, who participated in the construction of the watch. No 01 - Engineer Zei No 03 - Engineer Zavattaro No 02 - Engineer Latini No 04 - Deputy Chief PrincipalThe last deliveries of Panerai to foreign military forces were made in the 1950's. They had several Army Forces for clients, including the "Kampf Schwimmer" of the German secret services. Nevertheless, the Florentine manufacture went on with its production of precision instruments, but produced exclusively for the Italian Navy.
