Officine Panerai Marina Militare Diver?s Wrist Compass Officine Panerai, Firenze 1860, "Marina Militare", No. 119, Ref. BSP 852. Made circa 1980. Very rare and unusual, methacrylate and anodized aluminum diver's wrist compass with liquid, strap and buckle.
A portable instrument, usable on ground as well as for diving, day and night, without any external lighting. It is made of an amagnetic anodized aluminum base, on which is mounted a robust monoblock plexiglas (methacrylate) case with an aperture for display. The polyurethane base is curved to conform to the wrist. The dial is immersed in a waterline and shock-absorber liquid, luminous indications in relief. Base signed and numbered. Diam. 71 mm. Thickness 52 mm.
