Notes

The dials of all Panerai watches were made with diverse superposed plates fitted with each other: the bottom plate was luminous with "Radiomir" or "Luminor". The dial plate was pierced, so that the numbers were visible through the slots. The last deliveries of Panerai to foreign military forces were made in the 1950's. They had several Armed Forces as clients, including the "Kampf Schwimmer" of the German secret services. Nevertheless, the Florentine manufacture went on with its production of pecision instruments, but delivered exclusively to the Italian Military Navy.
