Officine Panerai Firenze, "Marina Militare", made for the Italian Navy Commandos, circa 1938. Stainless steel wrist compass with liquid, used by divers.

Portable instrument, usable on ground as well for diving, day and night, without any external lighting. It is made of an amagnetic stainless steel base, on which is solded a robust transparent monoblock plexiglass case with luminous index. The magnetic dial is immersed in a water-line and shock-absorber liquid with radium-coated indications in relief. Dim. 69 x 89 mm.
